Mohican Trail 100
He's done it - Mike has just finished the Mohican Trail 100, a grueling 100-mile run in Loudonville (Ohio).
THE NEXT EVENT

The Race4innocence Continues!

Running across the Sahara desert, biking across Death Valley, running 100 miles… so what’s next?

Swimming, of course. This summer Mike will swim 22 kilometers across the Strait of Gibraltar, from Morocco to Spain.

For Mike, it's just another part of his Race4Innocence to raise awareness of the problems of child pornography on the internet, and to raise enough funds to fight this evil by shutting down 21,280 websites and saving 21,280 children.

Thank you for your support for this cause!

RACE4INNOCENCE
Child pornography has become a multi-billion dollar industry, fuelled by the growth in the use of the Internet and the ease of payment.

A 2002 survey estimated that there were 100,000 child pornography websites.

The content is becoming more explicit and violent, and the child victims being used are younger than ever before, including babies and infants. A recent report found that 83% of offenders identified had images of children 6 – 12 years of age; 39% had images of children 3 – 5; and 19% had images of children younger than 3.

The following article by Andrew Vachss published on 18 February 2006 in Parade provides a view on fighting this terrible crime against our children together. View Article

There are things you can do in life to help people either in distress or facing difficulties. There are also things you can do to stop evil from doing harm to young children and even infants. People like to talk about the former; while people don’t talk about the latter the innocence of children must be protected.

The lethal concoction of the explosion of the Internet, digital photography and ease of payment has helped Illegal pornography websites depicting terrible acts to children as young as a few weeks old thrive despite the fact that child pornography is an unspeakable evil.

The International Centre for Missing & Exploited Children has set a goal of eliminating commercial child pornography by 2008. It is working tirelessly to shut down these sites, identify the child victims, and get them help.

For just $60, you can help ICMEC shut down one of these illegal sites and help save a child's life.

Race4innocence is Mike DeNoma and friends fundraising campaign, which aims to:

  • Raise public awareness on the severity of the problem of child pornography, in hope to create a safer environment for our children and generations to come and,

  • Raise funds for to combat the evil of child pornography.

All money raised will go to the International Center for Missing & Exploited Children (ICMEC). Race4innocence is targeting help raise enough funds to help save 21,228 children and help eradicate the commercial viability of child pornography by 2008.

For every one missing child, 12 members of family and friends are distressed by their absence. Everyday they pray and hope for a miracle, that one day their loved ones will return to them. Unfortunately, there are still so many children out there who are waiting to be found. However there is hope ...

Meet Melissa and Corina and Ana (not their real names) are just three of hundreds of children that have been saved. There are many others that have not, yet. These children were not abducted, they were tricked and lured unsuspectingly as most children are.

We cannot actually display child pornography and show you how terrible it is, but these images are real images of the real child victims taken by the sex offenders, but they are not examples of child pornography. The offenders take lots of photos of their prey, many of which are innocent and part of a process to break down the inhibitions of the child so that they can move on to more extreme photos. There must be actual sexual activity and content for it to be illegal child pornography. We disguise the eyes of the children to protect their identity.
