Running across the Sahara desert, biking across Death Valley, running 100 miles… so what’s next?
Swimming, of course. This summer Mike will swim 22 kilometers across the Strait of Gibraltar, from Morocco to Spain.
For Mike, it's just another part of his Race4Innocence to raise awareness of the problems of child pornography on the internet, and to raise enough funds to fight this evil by shutting down 21,280 websites and saving 21,280 children.
Thank you for your support for this cause!
The children being abused are getting younger and younger, and the images are becoming more graphic and violent. 39% of offenders identified had photos of children aged 3 to 5 years old, 19% of offenders had photos of children younger than 3 years old and 83% of offenders had photos of children aged 6 to 12 years old.
Race4innocence is supporting The International Centre for Missing & Exploited Children (ICMEC). For just $60, you can help ICMEC shut down one of these illegal child pornography sites and help save a child's innocence. Melissa and Corina and Ana are just three of hundreds of children that have been saved.
The race for innocence was started by Mike DeNoma to raise awareness and enough funds to shut down 21,280 websites and save 21,280 children to fight this evil and give hope to the children of our future. Racers include Mike who is doing a gruelling 1228 km run and bike competing in the Greatest Race on Earth, Marathon Des Sables, and Furnace508 and Tan Ying Hsien who is doing six marathons in six months.
